How have the stories of women in technology changed amidst a global pandemic?
We’ve reached the one-year mark of life in this “new normal” and the disparate impact on women, both professionally and personally, has been immense. The arrival of Spring and promise of brighter days ahead inspired us to create an opportunity to come together outside of our annual event. We’ve invited two dynamic guest speakers from the WIT community to share their reflections about the past year and the ways they’ve reimagined community in the time of social distancing.
Carla Vanderhoof is the Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer of addapptation, the world's first low-code UX Platform for the enterprise. She is responsible for addapptation's globally recognized and award-winning brand and product design. Carla is a speaker and guest lecturer in the UX/UI design space as well as startup and entrepreneurial ventures.
Julia McIntosh is the Portfolio Manager for the International Association of Privacy Professionals, mom to Cain (4) and Cyrus (1), and wife to Ian. Over her career, Julia has managed a variety of different projects and programs in both tech and business, and served as a senior advisor for technology leaders with Forrester Research. Starting with the first-ever WIT event, Julia discovered a passion for supporting and enabling women and girls in all aspects of STEM and technology.
